Advanced Diver

Based on underwater experiences and challenges, the PADI Advanced Open Water course aims to give you minimal classroom time and maximum dive time!

It is designed to build onto your fundamental dive skills learnt during the Open Water course whilst experiencing new underwater activities in new environments, so you don’t have to be an experienced diver to take this course.

With your PADI Instructor you complete the Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives. These dives boost your confidence as you build your fundamental skills. Then you can choose three additional dives from more than 12 Adventure Dives to complete your course: AWARE fish identification, boat diving, drift diving, dry suit diving, multilevel diving, night diving, peak performance buoyancy, search & recovery, underwater naturalist, underwater photography, underwater videography, wreck diving and more – your instructor will help you choose – after all, he/she wants to pass on the best of their own knowledge to you!

You Must Be:                                                                                                                                                                   A PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organisation). Be 15 years old (14 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver).

Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.

You will do 5 open water dives and a knowledge development session.

Course Cost:
AUD$495. A deposit of AUD$100 will secure your place on the course, with the balance due on the first day. You will be provided with your Adventures in Diving crew pack (including workbook, advanced data carrier table and logbook), air fills, 2 boat, 3 shore dives, wall certificate and certification card.

Equipment Requirement:
Full SCUBA, SMB (surface marker buoy), underwater slate. Other requirements vary according to Adventure Dives (your instructor will help you with these details).

Recommended:
Gloves, knife and underwater torch. Your course may also be divided into single Adventure dives. On completing 3 dives you may receive an Adventure Diver certification and on completing 5 dives you will receive an Advanced Open Water certification. Each dive (on an individual basis) will cost AUD$165.

Note:
*please note that it is recommended that you purchase your own equipment at this level of training. Equipment may be hired from Adelaide Scuba at a cost of $75.00 for the course.
