Deep Diving

Designed as an introduction to deep diving, the PADI Deep Diver course helps divers develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques to safely participate in diving beyond 18 metres. 

You will:

  • Learn deep dive planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and hazards of deep diving including emergency procedures.
  • Complete open water dives that range from 18 to 40 metres, experiencing nitrogen narcosis and emergency procedures underwater.
  • Gain experience with deep diving under the direct, professional supervision of a PADI instructor.

Your Deep Diver certification will count towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. You will complete 4 open water dives and a knowledge development session.

Must Be: Be a PADI Adventure Diver (or qualifying certification from other organisation) Be 15 years old.

Optional:
Introduction to twin cylinder set ups.

Course Fee:
AUD$525.00. A AUD$100 deposit will secure your place on the course, with the balance due on the first day. You will be provided with your Deep Diver manual & DVD, air fills, boat dives, wall certificate and certification card.

Equipment Requirement:
Full SCUBA, SMB (safety sausage). 

Recommended:
Finger spool, u/w torch, u/w slate, gloves, knife. 

Cool toys:
Twin cylinder system, deco cylinder with (nitrox clean) regulator. 

Note:
It is recommended that you purchase your own equipment at this level of training. Equipment may be hired from Adelaide Scuba at a cost of AUD$75.00 for the course.**On courses with boat dives, it is an Adelaide Scuba requirement that you carry an SMB.
