Digital Underwater Photography

Digital cameras have taken the underwater photography world by storm. This course will teach you to quickly and easily capture underwater images with your camera and edit your pictures on your home computer. Using the PADI SEA (Shoot, Examine & Adjust) method, you not only learn how to take good photos, but how to share them with your friends via email or printing, optimising your work with your computer, storage and more.

Must be:

A PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water (or have a qualifying certification from another training organisation) However, you can take the course as a snorkeler and receive a non-diving certification

You will:

  • get advice on choosing and using modern digital cameras and underwater housings
  • Use the PADI SEA method for getting great shots quickly
  • Edit and share your pictures
  • Learn the three primary principles for getting good photos underwater
  • Cover care and maintenance for your camera and underwater housing

 You will do 2 open water dives and 2 knowledge development and practical application sessions.

Course Fee:
$350.00. A $100 deposit will secure your place on the course, with the balance due on the first day. You will be provided with your Digital U/W Photographer manual and slate, air fills, wall certificate and certification card.

Equipment Requirement (for divers):
Full SCUBA

Recommended:
It's best to learn with all of your own equipment, however a digital underwater camera and housing may be hire for this course, at an additional cost - See instore for more details.

Note:
It is recommended that you purchase your own equipment at this level of training. Equipment may be hired from Adelaide Scuba at a cost of $75.00 for the course.
