Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx)
PADI’s most popular specialty diving activity, diving with enriched air nitrox helps you get more out of your diving experience by extending your no decompression limits and giving you more time underwater, whilst receiving the physiological benefits of breathing higher levels of oxygen. Must be: A PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organisation). Have 20 logged dives. Be 15 years old. You will: Plan enriched air dives using dive tables and dive computers. Learn to analyze cylinder contents, calculate maximum operating depths and oxygen exposure limits. Safely increase your no stop time whilst gaining the physiological benefits of increased oxygen. Your Enriched Air Diver certification will count towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. There is a knowledge development session and practical application session.
Time To Dive: 2 boat dives are included in the course, giving you the oppurtunity to plan and complete EANx dives with the guidance and support of your dive instructor. These dives can be combined with another PADI Specialty course making this a wonderful addition to your next PADI Adventure.
Recommended: Your own cylinder and have it oxygen cleaned. Adelaide Scuba has dedicated Nitrox cylinders for hire which are available to use during your training. These cylinders are also available for hire to any certified EANx divers.
Course Fee: AUD$395.00. A AUD$100 deposit will secure your place on the course, with the balance due on the first day. You will be provided with your Enriched Air Nitrox manual & DVD, Enriched Air tables: 32% & 36% & Equivalent Air Depth table, 2 local boat dives, wall certificate and certification card.
Note: It is recommended that you purchase your own equipment at this level of training. Equipment may be hired from Adelaide Scuba at a cost of AUD$75.00 for the course.
