Drysuit Diving
The PADI Dry Suit Diver course provides divers with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely dive in a dry suit - a minor sacrifice for keeping warm underwater during those winter months… Must be: a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another training organisation) Be 12 years old You will: - learn dry suit buoyancy skills and emergency techniques
- Don and doff techniques specific to your dry suit
- Dry suit maintenance and storage
- Undergarment (fleece or overall-type garments worn under the dry suit) options
- Gain experience and direction under the professional supervision of a PADI instructor.
- Your Dry Suit Diver certification will count towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
You will do 2 open water dives, a pool session and a knowledge development session. Course Fee: AUD$395.00. A AUD$100 deposit will secure your place on the course, with the balance due on the first day. You will be provided with your Dry Suit Diver manual & DVD, 2 boat dives, air fills, wall certificate and certification card. Equipment Requirement: Full SCUBA Recommended: A dry suit Cool Toys: A baby cylinder for filling with argon to keep you very warm! You may hire a dry suit if you do not already own one for AUD$100.00 *please note that it is recommended that you purchase your own equipment at this level of training.
